Directions to Sayulita
When you arrive at the Puerto Vallarta airport, pick up a map at the information desk. It is just past customs. The map will give you a good sense of the area and the trip to Sayulita. Check out their website for more information:

If you are going to Sayulita by taxi, the drivers know how to get there. If you are renting a car, turn left out of the airport onto Highway Mexico 200. Follow the signs to Compestela. After passing through Bucerias, Mex 200 continues on as a two-lane road, up and over a small mountain pass. Approximately 40 kms from the airport (30 minutes) and about 2 minutes past San Ignacio (a very small town) start looking for a green road sign that says Sayulita. The turn off the highway to the left is immediately past the sign. Note: When turning left off Mexican highways, pull off right first then cross the road – very important. A left hand signal in traffic means PASS. Turn left. Drive on this road, through the outskirts of town keeping to the main road which becomes dirt. Pass over the bridge. You are now in downtown Sayulita (ocean is on your right).
